. Set up marker flags in studio one and set the beginning flag to a position before the start of your song and an end flag at the end of your song or set up a loop for your song. The flag marker setting can be found in the track area at the top of the song file, you will see a small flag icon, when selected. Feb 22, 2016 1 Answer 1) Upgrade to Studio One 3 Professional which supports MP3 import and export by default. 2) Purchase the MP3 Converter for Studio One Artist. 3) Use a third party application to convert the MP3 files to WAV files that are supported in StudioOne Artist. I want to import a reference track into a Studio One project (I use producer by the way) but I really don't how to. It's probably simple but I'm somewhat computer illiterate. Can someone explain in the most simple and explicit terms possible what ways I can bring a professionally mixed track into my project page. Nov 03, 2016 From the series of video tutorials I have done on PreSonus Studio One Prime, the free version DAW, I have been asked many times how to import.WAV audio files into the song project. In this short.

If tou mean directly from a cd, in windows you cant. You need to rip the song to your hdd first.
Then you can open the browser, go to the files tab in browser, find the file, then click and drag it to an empty are in the arrange view. It will create a new track automatically.

HDD means hard disk drive, Google is your friend.
I'm no PC/Windows expert but I found this link for you about ripping from a CD, Google is my friend too:

Files tab, he's talking about the word 'Files' that appears at the bottom of the browser which is on the right side of your Studio One window (or hit F5 if it isn't). Click that, then click Files at the top, then navigate to wherever you ripped the track to.

I recommend a free program called AudioGrabber for Windows. I it lets you extract (rip) songs in high quality from CD to your hard drive. The key is to rip them as .wav files so they will be of highest quality.
Then you can used the browser in Studio One to find, select and drag the song into a new track. Just drop it at an empty spot and a new track will be created for it. Make sure to position it at the start of the time line.
