Hi all, Just installed Omnisphere + all the updates, installed correctly. Logic 9 is working fine, playing everything. However, when I try to use omnisphere, no sound comes out even though logic clearly is receiving the midi signal from my k. I was watching the video for the release and its making me want to make the investment. I already have komplete ultimate 10 but i see how omnisphere has even better sounds and komplete synth presets sound almost outdated to be honest. Knowing i spent 1000 on ku10 a few years ago would you guys recommend spending the additional 480 for omnisphere? Digital wavetable synths are also assimilated and whether you prefer the raw, grainy sound of a PPG or Prophet VS, or the smoother transitions of an Access Virus, Omnisphere 2 can cough up a decent approximation. Hi all,
I really hope someone can help here. I have Omnisphere 2 64 bit and I would like each sound on separate mixer tracks in FL Studio. The problem is when I configure omnisphere and create midi output channels in the channel rack, so for example if I have 2 sounds in omnisphere and would like them individually on each midi output, both sounds play at the same time if I select one of the midi output channels.
  • So Omnisphere 2 for example can display such odd high CPU behaviour, if one is connecting one's sound card through a USB controller (e.g. A Hub, I used a Transcend USB 3 hub). The USB controller is then buggy (with sound cards at least) in some way that causes those CPU spikes.
  • Hi, I just installed omnisphere 2 and everything is good. But i dont have any sounds because i didnt unpack all 8 DVDs into the STEAM folder. I dont exactly know where to move it. At the time i unpacked 2 dvds in C: ProgramData Spectrasonics plug-ins and its next to the real STEAM folder. So it looks like in the scrn, I know its super stupid but i didnt have idea where to move it.
This is how I have configured omnisphere 2 and fl studio currently.
Lets say I have synth X and synth Y in the mixer of omnisphere.
synth X is on Channel 1 Out A and synth Y is on Channel 2 Out B in the omnisphere 2 internal mixer

Under the processing tab:
Omnisphere A is set to channel 1 therefore this is linked to synth X.
Omnisphere B is set to channel 2 therefore this is linked to synth Y.


Under the settings tab (Cog Icon):
MIDI input port is set to 1
I have then created 2 instances of MIDI OUT in the channel rack.
Instance 1 is set to channel 1 and port is set to 1. So instance 1 should be linked to synth X
Instance 2 is set to channel 2 and port is set to 1. So instance 2 should be linked to synth Y
PROBLEM: When I select Instance 1 of the MIDI OUT and play notes, it routes BOTH synth X and synth Y through. Why does this happen? I should only hear synth X.
