Akai EWI5000 Wireless Electronic Wind Controller

The Akai EWI5000 Wireless Electronic Wind Instrument is the world's first wind controller with built-in sample based sounds! As a wonderful complement to the popular EWI4000s which is based on an analog modeling type synth, the Akai EWI-5000 comes loaded with 100 built-in patches featuring more than 3GB of top-quality sample-based sounds including traditional horn, brass, woodwind, organs, progressive synths, classic leads, and other non-traditional sounds. The EWI 5000 includes 12 touch-sensitive metal keys on its top and 8 thumb-controlled octave rollers on the bottom. Yes, the EWI5000 is audio wireless right out of the box! The EWI5000 also features a rechargable battery which is charged via USB connection to the included wireless audio receiver unit.

The EWI 5000 also includes 8 control knobs for tweaking Filter, Reverb, Chorus, LFO, Breath Amount, Bite Amount, Semitone Tuning, and Fine Tuning. Both USB MIDI and 5-pin MIDI are onboard the EWI for controlling software synths or traditional MIDI modules. A 1/4' output to connect to an amplifier or PA and an 1/8' headphone output for silent practice are included. The EWI 5000 charges via USB or wall power and also includes a USB cable, wall adapter, wireless receiver, and neck strap. This is the case that Patchman Music recommends for the Akai EWI5000, EWI4000s, and EWI USB. Although it was originally designed for a soprano sax, this Protec case can also be used with all other Akai EWI, Yamaha WX, and EVI models. This protective lightweight case features movable pads that can be positioned for optimum support of the instrument. Has convenient exterior pocket with built-in organizer and shoulder strap. This is a beautiful hard case and we strongly recommend it for all EWI5000, EWI4000s and EWI USB owners (always use the mouthpiece cap when transporting in the case to protect the delicate bite sensor). This is the power supply Patchman Music recommends for the EWI4000s. It is better than the Akai MP9 AC Adaptor model. Replacement for Akai EWI3000m AC Adaptor Power Supply

UPGRADED! The Akai model replacement AC Adaptor for the Akai EWI3000m has long been discontinued but Patchman Music now offers a 100% compatible adaptor. We have tested this model and it works perfectly with the Akai EWI3000m as well as the Yamaha WT11, RY30, TG100, and others. This adaptor is actually BETTER than the original Akai brand power supply as it is smaller, lighter, more powerful, and accepts a wider range of input voltage (universal). This adaptor features 100-240V @ 50-60 Hz AC input, 15V 1A DC output, 2.1mm connector, and a 6 foot cable. Tip/center is positive (+).

Original factory fresh new replacement mouthpiece for the EWI5000, EWI4000s, and EWI USB (Akai part number EWM1). Use this when you want to share your EWI5000, EWI4000s and EWI USB with someone or simply need a new mouthpiece. Quick and simple single screw installation using a small 3/16' Phillips head screwdriver. Includes the white rubber mouthpiece and the black plastic cowling piece it installs into as shown at left. Please note that this item does NOT fit any other EWI model.

Mouthpiece Screw is not included- use your original screw if it is not rusted or use a new replacement stainless steel screw (highly recommended) see below.

Replacement STAINLESS STEEL Mouthpiece SCREW for EWI5000, EWI4000S, & EWI USB

The original EWI4000s factory screw was made of a material that can rust and seize up. Not good! When this happens the mouthpiece is no longer removable and an expensive repair is needed as the old mouthpiece needs to be surgically cut off by a repair tech! We strongly recommend that all EWI4000s owners replace the original mouthpiece screw with this STAINLESS STEEL type as soon as possible. EWI USB and most EWI5000 owners need not worry as Akai uses a stainless steel type from the factory on that model only. EWI4000s and some EWI5000 owners should replace the mouthpiece screw ASAP as the factory screw will rust, strip, and seize up from moisture. Replace it now and save yourself the hassle and expense later on. Quick and simple installation using a small 3/16' Phillips head screwdriver.

Akai EWI-FR Finger Rest for EWI3000 and EWI3020

Attention EWI3000 and EWI3020 players! Because the EWI3000 and EWI3020 keys respond electronically to touch and do not move, you must keep your fingers completely off the keys you don't want down or you get wrong notes and glitches. Players of open-hole instruments normally keep their fingers off open holes and will feel more at home with the EWI than sax players who usually rest their fingers lightly on open keys. To remedy this situation for the rest of us, Akai offered this snap-on finger rest, the EWI-FR, which provides 3 spring-loaded keys for each hand. Slide the EWIFR Finger Rests onto your EWI3000 or EWI3020 and you can rest your fingertips on these 6 spring-loaded pads! The Akai EWI-FR gives the player a sense of 'moving keys'.

Original factory fresh replacement Rubber Mouthpiece Tip for the Akai EWI3020 and EWI3000. This is the entire rubber part of the mouthpiece that fits inside the plastic cowling piece. Is yours starting to show signs of wear? Replace it now before your teeth wear a hole in it and moisture gets into the horn causing a costly repair. Need a spare? Jan 24, 2019  The easiest way to get a file from your iPad to your Mac is to use AirDrop. Alternatively, you could move the project file or a Dropbox folder, or however else you like to share files between machines. One note — a GarageBand project is really just a. If you have a Mac laptop or desktop computer you can also use iTunes to transfer files in GarageBand. On your computer, open iTunes and add the audio files you want to import to the GarageBand File Sharing area. Open GarageBand on your iPad and follow the steps above to create a new document. The file will default to your installed DAW (GarageBand for Mac, Logic, Logic Express). Now you can edit and use the file in Logic Pro. Can garageband mac import sds file. Oct 16, 2019  2) Select either Import GarageBand for iOS or Import Music Memos File in the pop-out menu. 3) Browse for your item, select it, and click Open for the iOS song or Import for the Music Memos file. Import other types of media on Mac.

YAMAHA Recorder Cream

New 2 gram vial of genuine Yamaha Recorder Cream for use on the internal rubber mouthpiece seals on the EWI3000, EWI3020, WX5, WX11, or WX7. Use this cream regularly on the internal area of the rubber mouthpiece parts to protect, lubricate, maintain softness, and reduce aging and cracking. NOT for use on key switches or on the outside of the mouthpiece. Put a little on the inside of the mouthpiece and on the rubber gasket where the mouthpiece slides on and meets the body to allow easy future removal of the mouthpiece. It helps keep the rubber gasket moisturized to prevent it from cracking and tearing. Don't leave home without it! Highly recommended. (Not an Akai product).

This is the same Akai model neck strap that ships in the box with the Akai EWI. Can also be used with the Yamaha WX7, WX5, and WX11. Cannot be used with the Casio DH-100, DH-200, or DH-800 (too long, hook too thick).

Though not an Akai product, this Yamaha WX Soft Pouch fits the Akai EWI USB, EWI3000, and EWI3020 wind controllers quite well. Since no case was ever designed specifically for these EWIs, this soft pouch can help protect them from damage.

This is a brand new, factory original soft pouch that is designed specifically for the Yamaha WX series wind controllers but it can also be used with the Akai EWI USB, EWI3000 and EWI3020 wind controllers.

PLEASE NOTE: This Soft Pouch does NOT fit the larger EWI5000 nor EWI4000s, sorry.
